| Susan Carter - Woodwinds and Piano.
Susan Carter has taught private woodwind and piano lessons for several years in this area. She is also an active musician with several local groups including the Cheektowaga Symphony Orchestra and the Amherst Chamber Ensembles. Past groups she has played with have been the Lockport and Barker Community bands, the Bergholz German Band, the Legion Band of the Tonawanda's Post 264, and the Erie County Wind Ensemble. She has also played with the OperaLytes musical theater company in the orchestra pit. She has attended Howard Klug’s Clarinet Teaching Workshop at Indiana University. Sue teaches clarinet (bass, Bb and Eb), alto and tenor saxophone, flute, piccolo, oboe and beginner piano. *Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Buffalo State College. She is currently enrolled in the Music Education Master’s Degree program at University at Buffalo. Kris Banzhaf - Percussion Kris Banzhaf has won awards for most outstanding musician in both Wind Ensemble and Stage Band, and Outstanding Section Leader in Wind Ensemble. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1979 from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY - where he received a scholarship award for Outstanding Jazz Drummer after his freshman year. His musical history has included playing in the pit orchestra at Radio City Music Hall in NY City, The Ice Capades, The Blackstone Magic Show, a substitute player in the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the musical "Ain't Misbehavin". Kris currently enjoys playing with several local musical organizations, including: The Amherst Chamber Ensembles, The Buffalo Silver Band, The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas and the Amherst Symphony. He has also played locally with the Erie County Wind Ensemble, the Niagara Falls Symphony, the Clarence Summer Orchestra, the Cheektowaga Symphony and the Hamburg Town Band. Kris teaches percussion lessons to students of all levels of playing ability, and covers all types of percussion including mallet percussion (marimba, xylophone & tympani), drum set in all styles, concert band and orchestral percussion, as well as preparation for NYSSMA All County / State competitions. Drew Azzinaro - Acoustic and Electric Guitars and Basses, Piano Drew Azzinaro feels that "his guitar is his tool", and that "music is his passion". He has been playing for over six years and has been taking private lessons from two different instructors for over five. Drew has played in his school's Jazz Ensemble for over 3 years, and has played with the Fredonia Jazz Band, and enjoys countless open mic sessions with various local bands - including his own band, the Jam Band Experiment. Influences include Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, and Jimi Hendrix - and his styles range from jazz and blues to funk and rock. After taking lessons at Tone Doctor's Music for two years, he was encouraged to take on a position as a teacher, and has enjoyed passing on his musical knowledge ever since! |

Lesson fees are paid in advance by the month, due by
the first lesson of each month. The monthly fee will cover 4 half hour
lessons per month, and no lessons will be given until payment is received.
Missed lessons will be forfeited. It is the responsibility
of the student to be at each weeks lesson at the designated time. The lesson
fee covers the musical information that is presented and the use of the
instructors time. Teachers are only required to make up one excused/missed
lesson per month. An excused lesson is one that is called in at least 24
hours in advance. Make-up lessons will be arranged only if the teacher
has time available.
If a teacher is unable to attend a lesson, the payment
for that lesson will be transferred to the next month. In some cases make-up
lessons may be provided. If the make-up time slot offered for that lesson
is not good for you, the payment for that lesson will be transferred to
the next month.
Parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson. Any questions
